Label:   NEW JAZZ.  Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl.  Label is purple with silver text, with deep groove.  RVG is machine-stamped in runout area.  Catalog number is NJLP 8215.   

Year:  1959.

Personnel:   Gil Evans – piano;  Steve Lacy – soprano sax;  Jimmy Cleveland – trombone;  Louis Mucci or John Carisi, and Jake Koven – trumpets;  Bart Varsalona – bass trombone;  Willie Ruff – French horn;  “Zeke Tolin” – alto sax;  Dave Kurtzer – bassoon;  Paul Chambers – bass;  Nick Stabulas  or Jo Jones - drums. 

Note:  This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the collector who insists on top condition.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, has been played a very small number of times, most likely once or twice, and handled with care.  Plays beautifully with excellent fidelity.  Labels are clean and pristine with one or two light spindle trail marks. 

JACKET:   NEAR MINT.  Nice bright artwork, clean white reverse, seams and corners are excellent.  A beautiful item you will be proud to display.
