GIL SCOTT-HERON MOVING TARGET 1982 Arista US First Press AL 9606 Funk Jazz Soul LP
DESCRIPTION
Released in 1982, Moving Target is Gil Scott-Heron’s final studio album of the early era, merging politically charged jazz-soul with the introspective poetics that defined his legacy. Produced with longtime collaborator Malcolm Cecil, the record finds Scott-Heron reflecting on personal and societal struggles through songs like “Fast Lane,” “Washington, D.C.” and “Black History/The World.”
This copy includes the original printed inner sleeve and was issued on Arista with the grey and blue “A” label design—an authentic first U.S. pressing from 1982.
