Description
This is a case of an album sleeve doing its' job over the decades and protecting the disc within.
The album's gatefold sleeve is made of light card with a matt finish so being now nearly 50 years young, copies are invariably found in average shape. As such this example is best described as 'used'. Although physically intact and with a good inner fold pouch, the matt surface is dirty in places with some ringwear, rippling, edge wear and age foxing. And signs of a few price stickers being removed.
But the vinyl is very nice. Shiny and with clean labels and probably has only had a single play as witnessed by the single spindle tracking on the paper labels by the centre hole. Machine etched matrix numbers on the run-offs with A-1U and B-1U markings. In room light the record looks super but under a searching table lamp shows some scuffs and faint hairlines. To me this is purely down to 'living' in it's inner sleeve (albeit poly-lined) for the decades since 1971.
So in light of the above, I rate the sleeve 5.5 out of 10 for condition and the vinyl itself 8.5 out of 10. Or in grading parlance VG and EXC+.
