GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Note : quattro brani strumentali presi da un repertorio non jazzistico. Due dalle colonne sonore dei films " Mondo Cane " e " Deserto Rosso ", uno dalla commedia musicale " Rugantino " e il restante addirittura dal mondo della canzone pop. Eppure i sapienti arrangiamenti di Marinacci ed il talento dei suoi solisti confezionano piacevolissima musica jazz. In particolare la loro versione da " Deserto Rosso ", " IL SURF DELLA LUNA " con sonorità molto vivaci; molto suggestiva " MORE " dove delicate vene jazzistiche si fondono con la melodia dell'arpa.

Notes : four instrumental tunes taken from no jazz compositions. Two tracks from the soundtracks of the movies " Mondo Cane " and " Deserto Rosso ", one from the musical " Rugantino " and the last from the world of the pop song. In spite of all that the masterly arrangements by Marinacci and his gifted soloists construct a very pleasing jazz music. In particular their version from " Deserto Rosso ", " IL SURF DELLA LUNA " characterized by lively sonorities. Furthermore an evocative and special " MORE " based on a delicate fusion between jazz vein and the melody of the harp.

La formazione (line-up) : Gino Marinacci, flauto e clarone (bass clarinet) - Maurizio Majoraba, basso - Lino Quagliero, piano e organo - Carlo Zoffoli, vibrafono - Anna Palomba, arpa - Sergio Conti, batteria (drums).
