AMICO FLAUTO - ITALIAN LIBRARY / OST TV Lp by GINO MARINACCI with I SAMBA JAZZ etc. Original Italian pressing on the IDEA label (IL 5001), from 1972. Ultra-stylish Library session led by the cult bass flute player with dream-team backing (the hottest and most important musicians on the Italian jazz / soundtrack scene of the period). Killer baroque funk with flute / harpsichord and B-boy drums on RICORDANDO BACH and LA CAMPANELLA. Great for DJs. The whole of side B is dedicated to Brazil with pinnacle examples of the Italian lounge sound played in a seductive, blue bossa style. NOTTE DI BAMBU / BLUES FOR GIN / NOTE FELICI and PIN POM take you on a jazzy flight to Rio with stellar musicians like Irio De Paula (guitar) / Giorgio Rosciglione (bass) / Alfonso Vieira (drums) / Mandrake (afro latin percussion) and Antonello Vannucchi (of I Marc 4 infamy) on hammond organ. The joyous TEMA DALLA SONATA N.4 IN DO MAGGIORE with Dino Piana trombone solos and baroque jazz of DA I RACCONTI DI FATA with viola player Dino Asciolla, are sophisticated themes played in a classical early '70s / lightly psychedelic style. Mood music from the long forgotten RAI TV programme, Amica Flauto. Amazing artwork sleeve design with super-cool graphic images of key players inside the gatefold too. Sharp looking and sounding item. Seldom comes up for sale. Same cult label as the rarest Mario Molino Polizieschi / cop funk OST 45 ;) Very rare Library Lp!!!
