SAMBA DO AMIGO Lp by GIULIO CAMARCA & TRINIDAD. Original Italian 1st pressing on the SHIRAK label (SGC 3303), from circa 1978. Desirable, bossa funk and vocal samba masterpiece by the cult guitarist with killer rhythm section and mysterious female vocal group. This is the elusive 1st issue on the Turin based Shirak label and a fabulous example of the Brazilian sound from Italy. Features one of the ultimate funky versions of BIRIMBAO with drum and percussion breaks / the sexy vocal club tune MANHA / JALMA / SEM VOCE / SAUDADE DO RIO / SAMBA DO AMIGO and the progressive psychedelic samba TRANS AMAZONICA. The whole Lp is superb. Ultra stylish guitars by Camarca. Beautiful female vocals and scat harmony with Les Masques style ambience. Totally destroys Daniela Und Ann Samba Soul Beat In Black & White / G9 Group et al. Our soundclip opens with a funky breaks sample from BIRIMBAO followed by several other themes. Big record with certain Japanese collectors. Very rare Lp!!! Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with a few light scuffs and hairlines. Some light surface noises. The sleeve is in strong VG++ condition and is still in shrinkwrap. Some bending from the tight shrink. Light general wear to any exposed corners / open side. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label image. Rare Lp!!!
