Description
You're bidding on the monumental first release from NYC experimental guitar frontiersman GLENN BRANCA, this 12" includes "Lesson No. 1 for Electric Guitar" and "Dissonance," classic pieces of post-punk's minimalist foray into modern composition, of which Mr. Branca should be considered a crucial part---- as anyone who has seen performances of his "Symphony for 100 electric guitars" can tell you. This 12" was released by 99 Records (Y Pants, ESG, Liquid Liquid, and Theoretical Girls-- of which he was a member) in the late seventies. To those unfamiliar with this fellow, just listen to superstarts like Thurston Moore and Lee Ronaldo sing his praise... as strapping young lads they were a part of his band on the second outing "Ascension."
This original vinyl 12" EP is still in the shrink wrap, although unsealed. The record has been play-graded
