Description
GLENN MILLER Album of Outstanding Arrangements -1944 4-78rpm Set -A VERY Rare 1st Album.
The back of the collection is worn, but the four albums are in VERY Good shape, as is the rest of the collection.
This is a stunning copy of Glenn Miller's very first album ever, the 1944 78-rpm set on RCA album P-148; An Album of Outstanding Arrangements on Victor Records, one of the series called Victor Music Smart Sets. Includes four 78 records featuring one of his most famous & popular recordings, ‘In the Mood.’
The discs are all all in very good condition with a few minor surface scratches…albeit, very few. The cover is in just beautiful condition, with ware & tare on the back binding. This is a jazz aficionado’s prized possession, an original copy, very rare to find complete and in such condition. The discs include:
Side 1 - American Patrol
Side 2 - Song of the Volga Boatmen
Side 3 - Tuxedo Junction
Side 4 - In the Mood
Side 5 - Little Brown Jug
Side 6 - Moonlight Serenade
Side 7 - Star Dust
Side 8 - Pennsylvania Six-Five Thousand
They are just looking to grace someone’s collection and home with GREAT music of a GREAT era for Jazz & Big Bands!
If you have this collection you don’t need the ‘Way back machine’, to transport you there.
