Both volumes of the Glenn Miller Concert albums on 4-78 RCA album sets, from 1951 and 1952. I must say first that one record is missing from volume 2. The disc with Anchors Aweigh and On Army Team is not included. That said...
These great sides are compiled from private recordings made of live radio broadcasts in 1940 & 41, made for Miller's own use. Released here for the first time, these are not the usual records by the Miller band you usually hear. This is them really cooking during a live performance and they are really something.
The discs are all in magnificent, beautiful, near mint condition. There are barely any signs that they were ever played. Really nice copies. They play perfectly and gorgeously. The covers have a little wear. Volume one has a slightly loose binding and the spine title strip is torn off. A bit of edgewear too, but still overall intact and not bad looking. Volume two is somewhat better, with an intact spine and stronger binding, though the cover is slightly loose too. Less wear, but still some. I would rate volume one as VG- and volume two as VG. Beautiful copies.
