Almost one and a half years after magnificent ''Passiondale'' recordings, the Dutch death metal musicians GOD DETHRONED 2010 hit the next goal. ''Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross'' is also the band's 2nd concept album about the First World War and, for the time being, marks the end of the band's history. The aggression and speed that the absolutely not at all loving tulip country residents show here on the concept work ''Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross'' surpasses some of their valued colleagues by a lot. After the atmospheric Intro-declaration of war, GOD DETHRONED lumber through the undergrowth so brutally that even seasoned front pigs reverently flee behind their own lines. Grenade splinters fly by on the right and the left, the guitars cut their way forward meter by meter with a lot of dirt between their teeth. The sound was tailored to the band for the 3rd time by Jörg Uken and actually leaves nothing to be desired. With ''Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross'' GOD DETHRONED has definitely sure to present another leading reference work of the European death metal. Finally re-released on vinyl again in 2019, the black version is limited to 250 copies and comes with a lyric insert.
