"GOD SAVE THE KINKS"
Promo-only Boxed Set.

with

"Now Then & In-Between"  promo-only LP
Reprise   -   PRO-328
beautiful shape

A few days ago, a fellow wanted to send me a considerably higher dollar amount for this item,
so I pulled it down and waited for the PayPal that was supposed to come, but something happened
and he had to bail out.  It happens.  No hard feelings.  So, I am relisting with same minimum bid.
Sorry to the 13 eBayers that were watching this box set.  I wasn't intentionally being a jerk.

OK.  Here's the deal.  In the back of Rolling Stone magazine  in mid-1969, Warner Brothers -
7-Arts Records offered the "God Save The Kinks" boxed set as part of a promotional
campaign to stimulate interest in the record buying public once again in
The Kinks.  I was already interested in the band immensely and sent my $2.00
in and received this box set about 8 weeks later.  Because I had all the tracks
on the LP except the "medley" that opens the "Now, Then & In-Between VINYL album,
I never have played it.  It is mint.  I did my dead level best to  keep this boxed set in
super shape.  Except for three small corner splits on the top part of the "box",
this set is in great condition.

This boxed set WAS A VERY LIMITED OFFER by Reprise in 1969 with several hundred sets
being offered by mail-order only in the USA.  They were not offered outside the USA. Through the
years I have heard several estimates of the number of copies that were made ranging from
200 to 500.  I'm not sure, but since Kinks LPs were not selling particularly well at the time,
printing a lot of these sets seems a little ludicrous (also, you actually had to MAIL for it.
American instant gratification was working against this promotion from the get-go).

The item is priced on several online Price guides at $1000 (and one of those examples had the box splits).
I'm giving the real Kinks aficionado the opportunity of a lifetime.

The "God Save The Kinks" boxed set is the PINNACLE of any A-list Kinks Kollection.  Period.

This BOXED SET has been stored in a smoke free environment for the past 47 years !
This is your chance.
