Description

THE GODS: To Samuel a Son

  • UK/1969
  • label: Columbia SCX 6372 - Original first pressing on b/w label
  • condition: EX+/EX- (rec/cover)
  • laminated flip-back cover, "Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent No. 943.895", stamped matrix no. YAX 3954-2 G 1 and YAX 3955-2  G 1

Very rare UK original first pressing on black/white label. Their second and to my mind best LP. Great psych/prog record.

Plays really fine: Disc has few hairlines and light marks, plays with occassional light surface noise in quiet parts, has some klicks here and there, otherwise no big scratches, no jumps, no sticks. Label (side 1) has "not for sale" sticker + small sticker.

Laminated flip-back is in great shape too: Some creases on FC, little corner wear, nothing serious, small tear on BC. Backspine is perfect. 2 cm starting split-seam on top. Pls check pictures.

Fantastic copy and originals getting very hard to find these days.

Got 3 stars in Pokora's "1001 Record Collector book".
