Some words on this issue: GOLDEN CUPS: “Blues Message” (Capitol – CPC-8005) Disc comes on red wax and is a first pressing out of 1969. Without a single doubt, “Blues Message” was the Golden Cups best ever recorded album, filled to the top with deranged wailing fuzz licks that will scrape-burn the skin of your body. The Cups never sounded as “way out there” as on this recording. Put down to wax at the height of their creative powers, “Blues Message” leaned stylistically close to the Butterfield Blues Band's East/West album and tracks such as “Walkin’ Blues”, “Get Out Of My Life” and “I Got A Mind To Give Up Living” all show up on the first side of the LP, For the rest they viciously rip through some churning riff loaded lysergic blues tracks like Canned Heat's “Evil Woman” and “Can't Keep From Cryin'” by the Blues Project, which metamorphoses into a real killer rendition, whapping your eardrums around without showing any mercy, leaving you breathless and gasping for air. In one word, this record is a KILLER!! First press on red wax in eye-popping condition. TOP COPY!!!!

Our grading scale: Mint/ Near Mint/ Excellent/ VG++/. We don’t sell anything below VG++. VG++ grade is basically that the record has some scuffs and has wear. Excellent: record has hardly no visible defects and is preserved with care and attention, the condition most collectors take pride in to file away. Near Mint: a dash below mint, just perfect. Mint: like new.
