Description
Virgin ( green label with girl), U.K., 1973, gatefold cover.
VG+/ EX
Saw cut at spine, light edge wear, light creases. Lp has only some minor hairlines at beginning of side 1 causing some very light surface noise, also minor noise in the some quieter passages, nice on the whole.
Part one og GONG's fabled "Flying Teapot" trilogy, full of dynamic trippy oscillatios, glissando guitar, sopace whispering, and beyond. While lacking some of the intricacy of its follow up lps, "Angel's Egg" and "You," it unwinds with long intense jam passages and great songs which introduce the listener to a world of pot head pixies, octave doctors, and radio gnomes. An essential space rock cornerstone, seldom seen offered these days on an early Virgin label ( it was previously issued in a different cover on Byg Records in France), it turns up far less frequently than either "Angel's Egg" or "You."
