This LP is very interesting, some of it has harmonic structure, some of it is freejazz, and these players are quite capable of playing interesting free music.

Definitely not Bebop, though there are some post-bop elements. (Tony Williams is a much more abstract, textural drummer/percussionist than Art Blakey).
And while this is influenced by Ornette Coleman's opening up of jazz, it doesn't really sound like Ornette, either.

It sounds a bit more like the 1965-'68 Miles Davis quintet--given that Herbie Hancock and Anthony Williams are in this rhythm section, and Wayne Shorter, just about ready to join that quintet (according to Wikipedia, Shorter joined Miles' band late in 1964--this LP was recorded early in July, '64). No trumpet, though: it's Grachan Moncur III's trombone, and trombone and tenor sax make a great sounding front line.

This LP has VAN GELDER stamped into the runout area at the center, also the "ear" mark is visible on both sides. See Photos.

This LP is in VG condition.

There are a couple of scratches that can be seen on both sides, but they are light and not audible.

I would also say the cover is in Good Condition.

It has a bit of ring wear visible and some scuffing on the shiny overlay on the front and back.
All 4 corners are worn, shelf wear damaging the paper overlay on the bottom edge and it is open/split on the bottom and side edge. The cover opens completely up and held together secure by the spine.

It has a off white stained inner sleeve that I am pretty sure it's not the original.

Again, normal wear, scratches, scuffing, staining dirt, grime is note on the cover and album from years of service, storage, use.

Note: I did test the record and it has very nice crisp sound, but I am in no way a expert on vintage records/audio but noticed no issues.
