The bands sound is heavy progressive mixed with smooth mellotron sound.  This record actually introduced me to the mellotron.  The band was formed in 1965/1966 in Ester, UK by guitarist Alan Cowderoy and drummer/vocalist Paul Davis.  The band only produced 2 records before folding in the early 70s.  This was their debut album.  The albums sound was very daring and a careful mix of classical piano/harpsichord/mellotron with bluesy electric acoustic guitars and vocals. This is not your typical early 70s album.  This is truly a masterpiece!

The vinyl is in VG+ condition with some scratches that have no effect on the listening experience.  The labels are in NM condition as you can see in pictures 2 & 3.  There is some popping but it not distracting.

The dust sleeve is black and not in very good shape.  I am including a nice clean new white dust sleeve.

The cover is in GD condition.  I have included a lot of pictures so you can see for yourself the condition.  I am very critical with my grading.  The cover does have the typical ringwear and a hole punch.  There is a one inch split at the bottom.  The edgewear is really rough.  Even though it is intact, when held to the light you can clearly see through certain areas.  No writing or stains.  These black covers really take a beating!.

 

PACKAGING

 

Special care is taken in the packaging of your album.  I always ship using record mailers and separate the vinyl from the sleeve to avoid seam splits.  Cardboard inserts are also added and your vinyl comes to you in a pvc/mylar sleeve for added protection.  Everything is wrapped securely.


GRADING

 

I go into a lot of detail and put up as many pictures as I can.  Picture taking is not my specialty, but I do try.  I want you to be happy with your purchase and know exactly what you will be receiving.  Most of my records are in NM condition,  however the sleeves and covers may vary.  I grade using the Goldmine Standard of NM, VG+, VG, and GD.
