GRAHAM BOND - HOLY MAGICK - RARE 1970 VERTIGO SWIRL LP: This is your chance to bid on one of those scarce Vertigo albums. This is the RARE album issued in the UK in 1970 by GRAHAM BOND called "HOLY MAGICK". The item for sale here is the original UK album with the VERTIGO SWIRL design label which is so highly sought after by collectors. This album is a wierd & wonderful mix of JAZZ-SOUL- BLUES- ROCK featuring great saxophone (from John Gross), insane guitar solos &, as one would expect, amazing organ playing courtesy of GRAHAM BOND. The other musicians involved include bassist Rick Gretch (Family, Blind Faith), vocalist Victor Brox and bassist Alex Dmochowski (Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation) amongst others. The music is strongly influenced by Bond's occult beliefs. 4:12 VINYL: The vinyl is in very good/ excellent condition. There are some light surface marks which do cause the occasional pop, click & crackle but nothing that really effects one's listening pleasure. There are no jumps & no needle sticking. For a record that is 44 years old, the vinyl is in great condition. The matrix numbers stamped in the run out grooves are as follows: Side A: 6360021 1Y//1 Side B: 6360021 2Y// 3 SLEEVE:The un-laminated gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. There is some corner wear & quite significant edge wear. There is also some ring wear. This is most noticeable on the rear sleeve at the bottom where the print has been worn away. There is also a large portion on the spine where the print has come off & a slight split in the card. The inside of the gatefold shows some sign of wear. There is some loss of print on the front just to the right of the VERTIGO logo in the top right hand corner. INNER: The record is housed in one of the distinctive VERTIGO SWIRL inner sleeves which is in very good condition. There is a split in one of the side edges. There is also some slight creasing. There is some slight "browning" discolouration in places. The polythene lining has become detached on one side & is creased. Please see photos below.
