On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Graham Bond Organization called "The Sound Of 65" and is an ORIGINAL 1965 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Blue/Black Columbia label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS THE GRAHAM BOND ORGANIZATION'S FIRST & RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1965 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED, IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  THIS LP ALSO FEATURES SOME AMAZING MUSICIANS (BEFORE THEY BECAME MORE FAMOUS!) INCLUDING:- GINGER BAKER & JACK BRUCE - WHO BOTH WENT ON THE FOLLOWING YEAR TO FORM 'CREAM' WITH ERIC CLAPTON!!!!  THIS LP IS ALSO THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH 1N/1N MATRIX ENDINGS AND '33SX' CAT NUMBER ON THE COVER AND LABELS (THE '33' PART OF THE CAT NUMBER WAS DROPPED FROM THE LABELS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!)!!!! 

HOWEVER, WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS THE ALL TIME RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  AND THERE ARE NO GUIDE BOOKS AVAILABLE THAT WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING I AM ABOUT TO SAY, NOR IS THIS KNOWLEDGE AVAILABLE ON ANY SITE!!!!  INDEED, THE WINNING BIDDER OF THIS AUCTION LAST WEEK ONLY LEARNT THIS KNOWLEDGE AFTER WINNING IT, AND THEN DECIDED AGAINST OWNING IT.  WHICH I FIND ABSOLUTELY STAGGERING CONSIDERING THE AMAZING CONDITION THIS LP IS IN!!!!  ANYWAY - HERE ARE THE DETAILS THAT MAKE THIS THE RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - COLUMBIA FORGOT TO ADD 'GINGER BAKERS' PICTURE CREDIT ON THE COVER BACK, AS GINGER BAKER HIMSELF DESIGNED THE COVER.  THIS WAS REALISED IMMEDIATELY - AND AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURE THE 'GINGER BAKER' CREDIT HAS BEEN ADDED BELOW THE PICTURE ON THE COVER BACK!!!!  AND ALTHOUGH THE 'MISSING CREDIT' COVER IS RARER - PERSONALLY I FIND IT FAR MORE DESIRABLE TO HAVE THE CORRECT CREDIT IN PLACE, AS IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!  HOWEVER, AFTER EXTENSIVE RESEARCH, WHAT MAKES THIS LP THE RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - IS THAT IT HAS THE ALL TIME RAREST 1ST PRESS LABELS EVER MADE!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS RELEASED - THE LABELS HAD 'GRAPHOPHONE' EDGE TEXT, AND SMALL LABEL TEXT.  MOST COPIES WERE SOLD LIKE THIS ON THE 'DAY OF RELEASE' AND THIS LABEL IS EXTREMELY COMMON.  AND ONLY 8 MONTHS AFTER RELEASE - THE '33SX' TEXT WAS DROPPED FROM THE LABELS - AND THESE LABELS ARE FAR LESS DESIRABLE, AS THEY LASTED FROM 1965 THROUGH TO 1968.  HOWEVER THIS '33SX' 1ST PRESSING - HAS QUITE LITERALLY THE RAREST LABELS EVER - WITH ONLY 1 BATCH EVER MADE!!!!  ONLY 1 STAMPER IS KNOWN TO EXIST WITH THESE LABELS (NAMELY 1/T & 1/GD) AND ONLY 500 COPIES WERE EVER MADE!!!!  THE LABELS ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL TO GRAHAM BOND'S SECOND LP 'A BOND BETWEEN US' - WITH VERY DISTINCTIVE 'LARGE' LABEL TEXT & 'GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT!!!!  AND THIS LABEL STYLE WAS BROUGHT IN AROUND JUNE 1965.  NOW OF COURSE, IF YOU ARENT A 'LABELOLOGIST' THEN YOU WONT CARE ABOUT ANY OF THIS - AS INDEED, BY 99.99% OF PEOPLE THIS WILL ALWAYS BE REGARDED AS A 1ST PRESSING IN ANYONE'S BOOK!!!!  HOWEVER, IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT INDEED TO NOTE - THAT ONLY AROUND 500 COPIES WERE EVER MADE LIKE THIS, AND IT IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE ALL TIME RAREST UK 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE (JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!)!!!!

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL IS THE CONDITION!!!!  ARE YOU FED UP WITH SEEING VG COPIES (AT BEST!)?  OR COPIES WITH A WORN OVERPLAYED RECORDS THAT LOOK AND SOUND TERRIBLE?  OR A COVER THAT LOOKS CREASED, BATTERED, YELLOWED AND WORN?  THEN LOOK NO FURTHER - FOR THIS ONE IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE ALL TIME BEST CONDITIONED 1ST PRESSING I HAVE EVER FOUND!!!!  TO PUT THAT INTO PERSPECTIVE, I HAVE SOLD WELL OVER 20 COPIES SINCE I STARTED ON EBAY IN 2002, AND SEEN MANY OTHER COPIES TOO.  PREVIOUSLY MY BEST CONDITIONED 1ST PRESSING WAS ONLY VG+/VG+.  AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR HEARD OF A COVER AS STUNNING AS THIS ONE IS!!!!  SO THIS IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST CONDITIONED 1ST PRESSING I HAVE EVER FOUND, AND IT HAS TAKEN ME 14 YEARS TO FIND IT!!!!  THAT IS HOW RARE THIS LP REALLY IS IN TOP CONDITION!!!!  AND WITH A 'ONCE/TWICE' PLAYED RECORD, GLEAMING PLAYING SURFACES, A SUPERB INNER SLEEVE, AND AN AMAZING CONDITIONED COVER - WILL YOU EVER FIND A BETTER ONE???? 

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1965 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1N/1N MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS 'EMITEX' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' MONO COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Columbia UK 1st Pressing from 1965 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 33SX 1711 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Blue/Black Columbia label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK - AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB - with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!!  Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Emitex' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' MONO Cover is in absolutely SUPERB condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, barely ANY corner wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour!), NO splits, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to a couple of the corner tips, NO rips, NO tears, only a very VERY few very VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), STUNNING shiny 'mirror-like' laminate, NO nasty record impression, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent+ if not better!!!!  SUPERB COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (WHAT A SUPERB EXAMPLE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
