Description
Grand Funk (commonly known as "The Red Album") is the second studio album by American rock band Grand Funk Railroad. It was released on December 29, 1969, by Capitol Records, just four months after their debut album "On Time". Recorded at Cleveland Recording Company, the album was produced by Terry Knight and engineered by Ken Hamann. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, the first for the group. It includes a cover of the Animals' 1966 song "Inside Looking Out", which remains a staple of the band's setlist during live concerts. This is the VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1970 JAPANESE "GATEFOLD VINYL" Pressing on the Capitol Records label Japan. Comes with the OBI-SASH. The sash is "separated" only at the top of the LP, but it is intact otherwise. The catalog # on the spine is: CP-8915. The vinyl has been visually graded by Goldmine standards as Near Mint. Labels are clean and looks like new. The cover is graded as Excellent. There is some brown "staining" inside the gatefold sleeve and the inner sleeve. Please see pictures.
