Description
Grand Master Chilly-T & Stevie G ?Rock the Message Rap? b/w Keeling Beckford Connection ?Back to Back? (12 Star Records 404A, 1981)
Condition: NM /// Beautiful copy of this old school hip hop rarity that features Chilly-T and Stevie G rhyming over an interpolation of MFSB's ?Love Is the Message.? Vocals from this track were later used by DJ Premier for the chorus to Gang Starr's classic ?Just to Get a Rep? (specifically the lyric: ?... and this is how the story goes?). A-side label clean. Some writing on the B-side label (see photo), though rather artfully done IMO. Comes in plain white 12? sleeve.
