Description

GRANT GREEN – GRANT’S FIRST STAND – Blue Note 4064 (Mono). Disc Side 1 is Near Mint Minus (paper scuffs and some fine hairlines); Side 2 is VG++ (some scuffs and hairlines); Playback is Near Mint to Near Mint Plus; Labels are Near Mint Plus; Sleeve is borderline VG/VG+ (surface and edgewear; profound corner wear, but No Seam Splits; ring forming).

Grant Green’s first LP for Blue Note, recorded and released in 1961 in its original Monophonic pressing with original Blue Note labels. Accompanied by Baby Face Willette on organ and Ben Dixon on drums, the 6 titles featured are: Miss Ann’s Tempo; Lullaby of The Leaves; Blues For Willarene; Baby’s Minor Lope; Ain’t Noboby’s Business If I Do; and A Wee Bit O’ Green. Matrix features the RVG stamp (for producer/engineer Rudy Van Gelder) and hand etched numbers of BN LP 4064-A/B.

All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting (unless factory sealed). LP jackets are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
