Description

GRANT GREEN “Grant’s First Stand” Blue Note 4064, “P”,  “RVG”, DG, Mono Vinyl.

This is the second pressing, DG, mono, “RVG” stamped, “P” pressing of GRANT GREEN’s “Grant’s First Stand” on the “New York USA” labels of Blue Note Records BLP 4064. Musicians include Grant Green, Baby Face Willette, Ben Dixon.

VINYL plays with consistent, low volume level surface noise, with minimal pops and ticks. Many hairline marks under direct light, none feelable with fingertip. Music is powerful, clear, and very dynamic throughout. Very good gloss both sides. The Deep Groove (ONE SIDE), “New York USA” labels (“R” under “Note”) are clean with spindle wear evident under direct light. See photos.

Front LAMINATED COVER is in very good condition, minor peeling at opening. Spine and seams excellent. Bottom seam, 1/4” split at opening. The “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows PATT BARNES stamp, minor water damage at top seam. See photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers.
