THE GRATEFUL DEAD: Dark Star/Born Cross-Eyed (WB 7186)

• Condition : VG++, minor scuffs, DJ, in label sleeve
• Description : Rare 1968 45 of demented studio version of "Dark Star". This was non-LP at the time, until it appeared on a 1977 compilation album. B-side is a slightly different edit of the LP cut (and both sides are mono). Unfortunately this turned up in the "W7" label sleeve instead of the mega-rare pic sleeve but the 45 itself hardly ever turns up either. I would guess that the WB honchos said to the band "come on boys, let's make a radio-friendly hit single" and I can only imagine the look on their faces when they were presented with this slab of weirdness. I don't think this ever was issued as a stock copy (excepting an English 1970s reissue) but I could be wrong about that.

• Buyer pays $2.75 for first class / delivery conf. / properly packed shipment in USA, or $6.50 for FCMI airmail overseas. PA residents must add 6% sales tax to total with shipping. MULITPLE WINS please wait for my invoice as I will combine shipping.
• I do not end auctions early. No offense, but if you ask, you will not receive a reply, sorry.
• Condition of this item is guraranteed to be as stated in the above description. Records are shipped in a new cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and (if there is a picture sleeve) the 45 is removed from the picture sleeve & given its own sleeve to prevent seamsplits.
• I have been selling records via mail order since 1989. Bid with confidence!
• ALL US shipments are sent with delivery confirmation included in the shipping cost. I will insure any package sent within the USA worth over $100 for no extra cost. OVERSEAS: the cheaper shipping option on your invoice (First Class Mail International) does not include insurance or tracking. With FCMI service, Registered Mail (includes tracking number and requires your signature upon delivery) is available for $10.80 extra per parcel; if you want Registered Mail added to your FCMI parcel, ask. The higher price option on your invoice (Priority Mail International) includes a tracking number and, to most countries, around $80 in insurance coverage, as part of the shipping cost. However, Registered Mail service is not available with Priority Mail International service.
