GREASY TRUCKERS PARTY RARE DOUBLE ALBUM SET WITH GATEFOLD SLEEVE. UDX203/4. 1972. Both vinyl albums are in pristine mint, flawless condition. Gatefold cover is in excellent condition, as it has been kept in plastic for decades. The jacket is in overall excellent shape. The inner gatefold is in fantastic condition. The jacket shows a slight trace of ringwear on the back cover, but it is very minimal, and doesn't appear on the inner gatefold at all, and the front cover is almost perfect, with just a slight hint of wear in the black on the top of the sleeve.The jackets spine is in excellent condition, and the seams are all in nice shape. The records are perfect. A copy like this is very hard to find. This recording was made on 2/13/72 at The Roundhouse in London, and features performances by 4 underground favorites, Hawkwind, Man, Brinsley Schwarz featuring a young Nick Lowe, and Magic Michael. The live version of Hawkwind's hit "Silver Machine" would later form the basic instrumental backing track for the single itself, with Robert Calvert's vocals heard here live being replaced in favor of Lemmy's studio vocals for the eventual single release later that year. All of these bands are at the peak of their performing careers, and this is a fantastic document of the early seventies London underground.
