Description
Greenwich Village's Café Bizarre Presents Assorted Madness is, as a former owner wrote on the back of the jacket, "the only authentic beatnik LP in the world." This impossibly scarce record has also been called a "holy grail" of beatnik collectors. Recorded live at the famous Café Bizarre in 1959, it's a collection of poetry readings from assorted characters like The Mad Monk Rafio, Stevenson Phillips, Ringo Angel, Ellie Girl, the Seven Beat Sulks, Jamaica Jonny Cayonne, Rick Allmen and Felix Lupus. NM vinyl, with little sign of use; the jacket is EX with lightly bumped corners, light staining on the bottom edge, and writing on the back of the jacket.
