Other than older fans who'd seen him playing around Austin and hardcore collectors, few people knew anything about the Ghost until the LP Grey Ghost surfaced on Catfish. After its appearance, the Ghost was featured at several festivals, and was heard on a "Bluestage" show for National Public Radio in 1994.
