Description
This is a very good original U.S. pressing copy of the RARE sole LP by American psych group the Grodeck Whipperjenny, released in 1970. The record was the first to be released on the James Brown owned People label. Group members included Brown's arranger at the time, Dave Matthews, but their sound is pretty far from Brown's hard funk, featuring lots of fuzz guitar and extended jams, along with the pretty pop song "Wonder if." The textured jacket has a cut corner, but is otherwise close to pristine with a couple of small dings (VG+). The disc has light scuffing, and plays with light to moderate surface noise audible between tracks and in quieter passages (VG+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
