This first pressing is a stunning example of its kind, the sonic quality is quite simply on another level!  The clarity, power and depth of the audio is phenomenal and aside from half a second of static on S1 and a couple of minor static ticks at the end of a fade out on S2 the playback is 'as new', a FINAL UPGRADE pressing as it were.  It's a great album anyway, easily one of their best, and to find one playing with such clean and precise audio is a genuine rarity.  The vinyl is visually stunning also with no noticeable spindle wear and has clearly not been played very much.
The tri-fold cover has been preserved so well with only the bare minimum of wear, it has held its shape so well, and the original inner sleeve is also in excellent condition.

Visual description
The vinyl is in superb condition and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.  Under a bright light I can only see a small number of very faint hairlines and there is nothing that stands out.  The run outs grooves are very clean and the UAR labels have barely any spindle wear.
Play Grading
The intro on 'I Love You Miss Ogyny' plays with stunning clarity and the depth on the audio wow!  There is just one brief static 'moment' just prior to the speed picking up but that is the only intrusion.  McPhee's opening vocal section is perfect and the instrumental bridge plays with great quality also.  The second verse / 'chorus' is flawless and the closing instrumental is breathtaking!  Again the depth and power of the audio is off the scale superb!  I will grade the intro as Near Mint but the remainder is Mint for sure.
The entire intro on 'You Had A Lesson' is as good as new and the same can be said for the vocal section.  The instrumental section with an almost threatening sound to begin with plays with STUNNING quality, there is no background of any kind.  Again I have to enthuse (!) about the depth, power and resonance of the audio, it is incredible.  The fast paced end section in particular.  The 'complete' version and Mint from start to finish.
'The Ringmaster' led by Brooks of course plays with sublime audio throughout with zero intrusion.  Once more the depth of sound is unbelievable.  Mint
The intro on '3744 James Road' is perfect and McPhee's opening vocal section is just as strong and clear.  The long instrumental could not play any better, McPhee showing just how accomplished he was, the sonic quality is phenomenal.  The repeated chorus has no intrusion and the closing section is superb.  The quieter passage plays with stunning clarity and the crescendo finale certainly fills the room up!  There is barely any inner groove distortion and the fade out note has no background.  A solid Mint- version at the very least and I'm not sure the minus is necessary if I'm honest.  What a side!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Sad Is The Hunter' begins perfectly and the opening vocal section is of the same high end standard.  The instrumental that follows can only be described as new, the power and depth of the audio is again out of this world.  Clearly I like this record!  And it continues in the same precise way without any intrusion.  The final vocal / instrumental is so strong and deep - couple of minor statics at the end of the fade out so I will say Mint-
The first half of 'S'One Song' plays with unrivalled quality and then the brief silence has just one barely audible static.  The second half then plays with impeccable quality - kind of a punk rock style and the power and definition is outstanding.  A Mint version in my opinion.
The 'space rock' intro on 'Earth Shanty' is STUNNING!  The clarity and power is 'as new' and you just have to play it loud!  There is no distortion and the fade out has no background.  The acoustic passage is faultless and the opening vocal is equal to that.  The instrumental again plays with genuine depth etc and I am definitely running out of superlatives for this album!  Suffice to say the rest plays 'as new' and it 100% deserves a Mint grade.  I mean what a version, I think they have seriously outgunned Hawkwind here!!
'Mr. Hooker, Sir John' concludes the album with majestic audio once more!  From the acoustic intro and then through every vocal and instrumental section the clarity and definition of the audio is flawless, every note so sharp and precise for a final track.  This track certainly demonstrates just how versatile McPhee was and this version could not play with any greater precision.  Mint in every way - one static 'moment' on S1 being the only intrusion, a remarkable album.
The Tri-fold Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover is in superb condition with barely any wear.  The edges are clean and sharp and the two main spines are in great shape also.  The top left corner is the only one with any wear but it is still minor.  The opening edge (on the inside) has no handling wear at all.  The front cover just has one corner crease top left and a faint line mark running down next to the spine.  The back cover is close to perfect with only a corresponding small crease top right and the three panels on the inside are immaculate with only a minor crease at the top of one of the inner spines.  A stunning example.
The original plain white inner has only minor age related fading around the edges - no side splits or tears and only minimal creasing.

Postage & Packaging

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
