Next level Italian jazz and easily one of the best Splasc(h) releases. All original compositions. Features some outstanding examples of modern hard bop. The abstract sleeve painting may hint at free jazz to some but this session is actually a very beautiful and rhythmically stunning performance. A crack quintet of players led by Guido Guidoboni on trumpet and Roberto Rossi on trombone. Well controlled momentum with an ensemble on fire on key trax... The hard bop of "Boppeggiando" is a mini masterpiece / afro cuban jazz ambience to "Aegilium Island" and the uptempo modal waltz of "Pick Me Up" is also impressive. Hot item with certain Japanese DJs ;) Disc cut loud with big production sound. Actually, a really hard Lp to find in the wild, especially in top condition like our copy :)

RECORD - shiny, M- (item from unplayed deadstock and played only a couple of times for the recording of our soundclip) / a couple of faint hairlines and pressing blemishes / disc cut loud with big production sound / some natural light background noises
SLEEVE - original laminated card sleeve is in M- condition with very light wear / sharp item with minimal defects / just a touch of common wear marks from storage / original insert intact
LABEL - bright looking / minimal wear / just a couple of pressing blemishes
