Description
Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction FIRST PRESSING from 1987
With ORIGINAL FREE STICKER and WITHDRAWN SLEEVE
An Excellent example of an iconic debut LP
This is the original UK first pressing. Manufactured in Germany at Alsdorf plant. Matrix Numbers Side G - "R/S Alsdorf 924148-1-A" then "7" hand etched Side R - "R/S Alsdorf 924148-1-B" then "UK" hand etched and "9"
I bought this record personally on the day of release back in 1987. It was played for a short while but my parents didn't like it so I taped it to play on my Walkman. The record has been unplayed and in storage since late 1987.
The STICKER was only issued with the inital run issued to shops on week of release. This is the original sticker with record catalogue number in bottom right corner.
The sleeve is the original "Robot" sleeve. It wasn't actually withdrawn per se, but because some major stores refused to stock it, they switched production to the alternative design pretty immediately
Condition Vinyl - Excellent. Little sign of play - maybe a couple of hairlines. Certainly nothing significant Inner Sleeve - Excellent Minus - this is quite a thin sleeve so there's a little ring wear on lyric side from storage Sleeve - Excellent. Minor handling. Complete with original "Warning" sticker on cover Sticker - Excellent. Has never been removed from backing sheet Labels - Paper. Excellent See photos for all of the above
An Excellent example of an iconic debut LP
