Description
No scratches, no scuffs!
The 2018 Geffen Records versions of Guns N' Roses' "Appetite for Destruction" were primarily centered around remastered and expanded reissues of the iconic 1987 album. Key aspects of these releases include:
Remastering:
A core feature was the remastering of the original album, aiming to enhance the sound quality for modern listeners.
Expanded Editions:
The 2018 releases came in various formats, including deluxe and super deluxe editions, which featured bonus content.
This bonus material included previously unreleased recordings, such as those from the 1986 Sound City sessions, as well as B-sides, EPs, and live tracks.
Varied Formats:
The reissues were available in multiple formats, including CD and vinyl, catering to different preferences. There were also special vinyl pressings, such as those on red translucent vinyl.
Original Artwork:
Some versions of the 2018 release reinstated the original Robert Williams album cover art, which had been controversial at the time of the album's initial release.
Collectibles:
Some of the larger box set versions also contained collectible memorabilia.
In essence, the 2018 reissues aimed to provide fans with a comprehensive and enhanced experience of "Appetite for Destruction," offering both improved sound quality and a wealth of additional content.
