Description
About This Record. Here's another cool rare slab of vinyl from my record vault, the first and most important of 25 Fugs LPs I have for sale! This is #1 of 25 original vinyl LPs I have for sale by the Fugs, featuring Ken Weaver, Ed Sanders, Tuli Kupferberg, Steve Weber, John Anderson, Vinny Leary, and last but not least Peter Stampfl. Beat Poetry offshoot of wild dischordant stuff that some call music. My hates hates the song Boobs a Lot so . . . my stuff must go!
This LP is their VERY First and hyper RARE LP from 1965 entitled The Village Fugs,, Sing Ballads of Contemporary Protest, Point of Views, and General Dissatisfaction on the RARELY Seen Broadway Records 304 label, complete with ORIGINAL four (4) page inserts about the band that never turn up, at least all four pages. I have 10 other “original” but later versions of this LP for sale that come with a photocopy of the four (4) original lyric sheets that come with this LP, but these other 10 have different labels or covers or something else special about them. These are all from my personal Fugs Collection! Please see all 25 that I will be listing over the next couple of hours . . . or days. And then, the Fugs had more than one LP, and I have all of their other ones for sale also! Here's your chance to be a major FUG collector!
Please see Details below and CHECK my Feedback which shows you my grading of the vinyl I have sold Cover/Vinyl, and what the lucky people who bought my vinyl thought about our experience. The Photos of the labels list details about the songs and should answer any questions you have about the labels. The ESP catalogue is very confusing, so I am not sure which of all these came first, but I volunteer my humble opinion on these matters in each LP's description. Fug now, or Fug not, or be forever Fugged because you did not bid on the one you thought you should have!! :)
I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and most foreign buyers who contact me with questions beforehand) in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And two plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Please note that I work for eBay and this link is to the Code I have to abide by as an eBay employee: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html I have no clue who works in the Collectibles Division and am not involved in any policy or other decisions that go on; I just happen to like vinyl and happen to work at eBay
Cover Condition: G as in Good. Original Broadside Records LP 304 thick heavy textured cover with inner cardboard divider, kinda like the Folkways Records releases of this era. Just there are seam splits and a price sticker removal mark and some seam splits but it ain't so bad. Please See all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: VG/better. No major problems, BUT BUT BUT track B3 plays G or G+ while others play VG+ to EX- or better.
Labels: EX+ labels with minor spindle marks evidencing careful play (Please see photos of all labels)
Inserts: Comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine and in a new innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach! OH my gosh!!.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. . . . I will ship by any method you want. But if you do not pay for protecting your purchase by requesting insurance, or expensive International Priority Mail, then please understand the record will be shipped at your own risk and not mine. I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human.. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Please add sales tax!
