Gabon Musique des Pygmees Bibayak (Ocora 558 504) die-cut, gatefold cover HM 52

Recorded in Minvoul, Gabon, in february 1966 and march 1973.
This Issue: Classic Ocora-black with its iconic design: uncluttered layout with great artwork and white lettering. Cover has high sheen. Near top, album title on two lines. This edition has the die-cut window below, with beige-tinted drawing of the Bibayak showing through it. (HM price code on back.) Bottom left, on two lines: "Musiques traditionelles vivantes" and "l. Musiques de traditions orales". Bottom right: Ocora logo.
Inside gatefold: musician photo on left face, upper left. Liner note begins below, in french. Liner note continues to right face, first in french, then in english translation. Previously mentioned artwork is in center of right face. LP slides into pocket on right face. Back cover: conclusion of english-text translation, with musician photo in third of four columns, at top. In fourth column, all recording information. At top of fourth column, in two black boxes: "HM" and "52". Below it: "558 504". At bottom of column, in right corner: Ocora logo, with "Radio france" emerging from it. To its right: "DISTRIBUTION" with, underneath, in a box, Harmonia Mundi logo.

Center Labels and Runouts: Grey background with black lettering. Starting near top, five lines: "558 504", "33 T. STEREO", "FACE A" (or "B"), "Gabon", and "Musique des Pygmees Bibayak". White letters with a blue Ocora logo surround the center hole. Below hole is track list. A statement of rights and restrictions, in french, is a circular band around the label edge. (At top, upside down: "MADE IN FRANCE".)

Condition of Record: NM. No spindle wear; in fact, not a mark on either side. Not even any dirt. Record was played once, is immaculate.

Condition of Cover: Cover nearly NM (record is more than forty years old). Sheen protects; only by tilting in the light can any wear at all be detected. (There's a faint amount on front, toward left side; a couple of crimps, toward spine, also noticeable.) Back, being white, reveals a tiny bit of ringwear at bottom. There's a faint indention, toward right - visible, again, if cover is tilted. Spine is near perfect; bottom corner has slight wear. All horizontal edges fine (there are extra 'sides'; it's a gatefold), no shelfwear on any. Only very minor rubbing on top edge of 'open', or flap, face. 

I'm an independent seller divesting his own record collection. I'm not selling from a store or warehouse, with multiple copies of titles, or on behalf of a professional collector.

Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay amount as determined by destination, by shipping method he chooses, and by required insurance (see: below); I don't gouge the price to make more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)

Insurance is mandatory on shipments to US addresses: The final price of the item determines the amount of insurance required. Please wait till I inform you of your total cost prior to submitting payment. It and not Ebay's stated cost is the amount to be paid.

**For winners outside US**: USPS shipping options are International Priority and International Express. Both methods include insurance but only Express provides a return receipt. (Check USPS's website for shipping prices.) If you want a private-company shipper, I will quote you the cost at end of auction. First-Class-Package service, which doesn't include insurance, is an option; the shipping cost will be lower, but if your item doesn't arrive you have no recourse. The risk is yours.

Packing: The LP will be carefully placed in the standard cardboard LP box. If you want it packed in any special way, or with cardboard inserts for extra protection, please say so.

Payment: Although Ebay now processes payments directly, I also accept Paypal. I accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries.

Returns: Returns will be accepted in cases of error in description.

N A record known to have never been played. A CD that has never been removed from its jewel case.

NM A record or CD known or assumed to have been played. LP may have a surface fingerprint smudge or other minor blemish; it may have slight spindle wear. CD might have been played, but it and its booklet, and its case (or box), show little if any wear. Otherwise, item appears same as N in all respects.
VG++ More handling marks than on NM but should play like new. VG+ Some wear may affect play or there may be a few minor blemishes.
