TWO one-sided acetates!! Extremely high quality recordings!! Stunning find.
Possible the only one of its kind! I did some research and could not find this record released anywhere. Tried contacting an employee from Masterdisk and he had no answers either.

ESSENTIAL. For serious ethnic music collectors, ethnomusicologists, library collections, balinese enthusiasts.

Compared to the style of Java, Balinese gamelan uses fewer sonorities. The sound is almost entirely derived from striking metal of various shapes, with skin drums used to direct the ensemble. The gamelan music does not include voices, winds, strings, etc. The oldest and most austere style is the Gamelan Gong Gede. Usually performed by a temple orchestra of over forty musicians, music written for the gong gede is sedate and graceful, following an andante tempo. It fluctuates in cycles, one fast, one slow, one loud, and one soft. The beat is provided by the largest gong.

CONDITION (Cover/Record): VG+ / EX

Housed in a plain white gatefold sleeve with handwritten info about the recording, top seams splitting. This was used just for transport, obviously acetates do not have factory covers. The records are one-sided and in Excellent condition for their age and considering the fragile nature of acetates. Very clean looking LPs!! Don't miss out.
