Gatecrasher - Black (1998)
This is where it all started for the club from Sheffield - this is the very first CD to be released by the superclub, Gatecrasher. It is now deleted and incredibly hard to find; these rarely come up for sale. It is arguably the best of all the Gatecrasher albums, and is certainly the most sought after, with all the best tunes from when trance started to come to the fore at the end of the 1990's.
CD1 starts with some well-known house from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Cevin Fisher and Jamiroquai, then its slowly becomes more progressive ending with Blue Adonis, Hands Burn and Ayla. CD2 picks up from where CD1 stops, which makes a great mix over the 2 CDs. CD2's highlights include Liquid Child, Paul van Dyk, Marc et Claude, Push and Greece 2000.
The box sleeve is in near mint condition, with very slight wear on one edge. The inlay and inner booklet are in mint condition. The CDs have very slight surface marks, which do not affect play at all.
This is one fantastic CD worth bidding for, if you missed out on it first time round, or if you love the late-90s dance music, and want the best that has to offer.
