For sale is an original 1953 Columbia Records 7” 45 RPM single by Gayla Peevey – the iconic holiday children’s classic!
Tracklist:

Details:
• Catalog: J4-186 (ZSP 30109 / ZSP 30110)
• Yellow Columbia label with the fun dinosaur / hippo graphics on one side and cartoon girl graphics on the other.
• Includes the original green picture sleeve featuring artwork of Gayla Peevey and a hippopotamus (some edge wear and age toning typical for 70+ year old paper sleeve, but intact and displays very well).
• Record: light surface wear/scuffs consistent with age but no deep scratches or major issues. Looks pretty clean for a 1953 pressing.
• Vinyl grade: VG to VG+ (very nice for its age)
• Sleeve grade: VG+ (solid with normal shelf wear)
This is the original US Columbia pressing of one of the most beloved novelty Christmas songs of all time. Gayla recorded it at age 10, and it became a holiday staple (even featured on The Ed Sullivan Show).
