Description
Prestige 7110, “Jammin’ in Hi-Fi” with Gene Ammons, Kenny Burrell, Jackie McLean, Mal Waldron, Idrees Sulieman, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor. Original West 50th Street vinyl plays at VG+ with minimal background sound through most of the LP; I detected a skip that may be repairable with a heavier tonearm. The jacket has strong seams and square corners all around; there are no bends or writing; there is considerable age toning on the back (see scan) as is common in the Prestige 7000-7100 series. Numbers are “The Twister”, “Four”, “Pennies from Heaven”, and “Cattin’”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
