Description
For sale today is an original LP by GENE CHANDLER. This is THE DUKE OF EARL on VEE JAY RECORDS, number S 1040. This copy is especially great because it is SEALED.
I can't overstate how amazing of an opportunity this is. This record is impossibly rare. Goldmine lists this as $800. Not only does it contain the iconic song "Duke of Earl" but this is the way, way rarer STEREOPHONIC STEREO pressing. These simply are not available. Not only that, but this copy is SEALED. It's incredible. The STEREOPHONIC VEE JAY LPs were unbelievably rare. This one came out in 1961 which, if you think about it, was before stereo record players were all that common.
There are a few small crimps in the cover but they're hardly mentionable. There looks to be one small pressing error above the word STEREOPHONIC on the front cover where a part of the cover slick looks squished. Otherwise this thing is virtually perfect.
This is one of several IMMACULATE LPs I am listing this week. In fact all of the other ones are SEALED including a sealed Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour & shrink wrap Beatles VI. Please please PLEASE check out my other auctions to see sealed records including an original GENE CHANDLER - DUKE OF EARL LP in STEREO... unimaginably rare copy and SEALED. Also, Sealed Bob Dylan, sealed John Coltrane and some other rare greatness.
Also in my other auctions is an authentic autographed poster with the cast of The Godfather 2! Framed and signed by Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall and Diane Keaton.
Anyways, shipping for this LP will be $4.00. This gets you a mailer specially designed for a record with some insulation. Shipping for additional records will be $1.00 apiece, so naturally I will combine shipping.
If you have any additional questions or would like any better photos please do not hesitate to send me a message. I will do my best to reply ASAP.
It is very difficult for me to get to the post office during the week so it may take up to one week after the end of the auction before the item ships. I will try to ship them sooner, but I just want to give fair warning.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
