Description
This is an auction for "No Other," the 1974 album many consider ex-Byrd Gene Clark's master work. It is as close to flawless as anything in my collection, inside & out. Tiny bit of wear at upper right corner -- photo #5 -- is the closest it comes to an imperfection. It is an unplayed white label promo lp and is the original Asylum Records pressing. Includes the original poster (a collectible by itself) and the original dust jacket with lyrics. Etched into the vinyl run-off are 7E1016 A CSM SX (side 1) and 7E1016 B-1 CSM SX (side 2.)
Also included in the auction is the 1977 album "Two Sides to Every Story," which Clark told an interviewer he considered his best. This, too, is a white label promo on RSO Records. Etched into the vinyl run-off are RS-1-3011 AS CP (side 1) and RS-1-3011 BS CP (side 2.) Includes the original dust jacket with lyrics. Dust jacket has some splitting of the seams, but still does its job. On the back jacket, radio station music director circled two songs and wrote "Mellow" -- not sure if this was a warning or encouragement. Other players on the album include Skunk Baxter, Doug Dillard, Byron Berline and Emmylou Harris.

More about the collection: All albums in this and my other listings are from my personal collection dating back to a long-ago career in rock radio. Record sales are not my livelihood, so rather than attempt to grade them using a system in which I have no expertise, I prefer to let the photos and my honest descriptions tell the story. If they're described as unplayed, it's because I never played them and there've been no other owners. (FYI, I have many albums that were played, just haven't listed them. Most are in great condition, so if you're looking for something specific, please let me know.)
