Description
Here we have a unique studio acetate of Generation X's November 1977 single Wild Youth b/w Wild Dub.
The acetate originates from the old Pye Studios (iconic recording and mastering facilities near London's Marble Arch).
The record label info (band name/songtitle) is written in simple ballpoint pen on the A- and B-sides.
According to Wikipedia, Wild Youth was written by the band on the spur of the moment during a publicity photo-shoot with photographer Ray Stevenson, the song being inspired by London street graffiti.
The experimental B-side, Wild Dub, is an ambitious amalgam of ska music and Generation X's signature pop-punk sound.
The acetate is in great condition. It has been owned by the seller from Day One and has only been played a handful of times.
Don't miss this chance to own a unique piece of UK punk rock history!
