Gentle Giant -- 16 LP records, 45 RARE vinyl records

Gentle Giant, an amazing British progressive rock band, was one of my two absolute favorite bands in the 1970s.  They covered a wide range and always had me thinking.  Unfortunately, I must now part with my collection.  It includes a rare 45, English pressings, and more.  It is all sold as one set.  So, it is ideal for anyone who loves -- or knows somebody who loves -- Gentle Giant.  Here is what you get:

• THREE FRIENDS -- MULTIPLE COPIES!
• Rare English pressing on Vertigo that does not have the full giant on the cover like the US records!  VERTIGO 6360-070.  Never played!
• Columbia 31649 pressing.  Slightly worn corners on cover.  Gatefold.  Plain white sleeve.
  
• Columbia KC-31649 pressing.  Cover worn and has date stamp OCT 72.  I reviewed this record for a newspaper and this was the date it was received.  Sleeve has printing and photos under the headline "The Tuner Sleeve."
• GENTLE GIANT -- FIRST ALBUM -- TWO COPIES
  
• Rare English pressing only available as an import in the U.S.  This is the first album, VERTIGO 6360020.  An English pressing that does have the full giant on the Gatefold cover.  It looks like the Giant on the U.S. Three Friends pressing.  This is why it could not be used in the English pressing.  Inside contains "A Tall Take" that begins "Giant took notice of the long shadows and decided to quit for the day in the apple orchard ..."  Also contains lyrics.
• Rare Italian pressing.  NEW!  Unopened!  Original plastic wrapping.  VERTIGO 929310 -- Distributed by Polygram.  Back cover written in Italian.
  
• OCTOPUS -- TWO COPIES!
• Rare English pressing only available as an import in the U.S.  VERTIGO 6360080  Never played.  Gatefold.
  
• U.S. pressing with unusual cover that has cut outs in the shape of a jar with lid.  Original blue sleeve with lyrics.  Sleeve has small slit where record comes through.
• INTERVIEW -- TWO COPIES!
• One new pressing.  Still in unopened plastic.  CAPITOL ST11532
• Same pressing with original sleeve.
• GIANT FOR A DAY -- Canadian pressing.  Small punch hole in cover and sleeve.  Sleeve has small slit where record comes through.
• THE MISSING PIECE --CAPITOL EMI ST-11696
• FREE HAND -- CAPITOL EMI ST-11428
• THE POWER AND THE GLORY -- Cover has two curved edges with inset to match.  English Pressing WWA 010.  Contains original sleeve and two copies of the lyric sheet.
• ACQUIRING THE TASTE -- VEL 1005.  Gatefold.  Original sleeve.
• IN A GLASS HOUSE -- English pressing.  WWA 002.  Plastic cut-out has silouette images that match the inside card.  Slight wear on edges of cover.  Sleeve has lyrics.
• CIVILIAN --CBS 36341 -- Original sleeve with lyrics.

• RARE 45 -- Power and the Glory on the A-side and Playing the Game on the B-side   WWA 017

ABOUT THE CONDITION OF MY RECORDS:

I sold my Rega Planar 3 audiophile a while ago and it is now time to sell off all of my LPs.  I have downsized and this is a necessary step.  Unfortunately, I do not have any way to play the records to see their quality.

Let me emphasize that these records are used and lovingly played.  I can tell you that I have always taken great care with my LPs and I have never loaned them out.  I owned my Rega Planar 3 since 1980 and my records have not been played on any other turntable since then.  I always used a high quality de-static brush and held them carefully.

I have given each record a careful visual inspection and noted any issues that I saw.  If nothing was noted, then I did not see anything.  But, if you want me to examine the LP further or take a photo, please let me know.

That being said, I cannot guarantee the records because I cannot play them.  Therefore, all records are being sold AS-IS.  I will not accept returns for any reason.

My shipping price is $3.99 (for packaging, etc.) plus 50 cents per LP for media mail (used to be called book rate).  Please keep in mind that delivery may take weeks for media mail.  If priority mail or shipment outside of the U.S. is desired, the cost will be $4.99 plus the actual cost of shipping.  Payment must be by PayPal and must be in advance.  Prices do NOT include insurance.  Therefore, the deal is complete when I ship the records.
