Similiar vintage Bakelite German radio design as used for the Kraftwerk LP Radio-Activity back cover

If you are looking at this then you may or may not know that the back cover image of Kraftwerks 1975 album "Radio-Activity" was taken from the WW2 German Deutscher Kleinempfänger Radio from 1938 by the groups artwork designer Emil Schult.

I have displayed the vinyl LP album cover along side the actual radio to show the similarity (see photos)

This vintage Bakelite small receiver tube radio was manufacured by C. Lorenz A.G of Berlin and is a small receiver tube radio type: DKE 38 GW.

The device is equipped with one tube and tube VCL11 Y2.

The radio is unchecked / untested and was imported like this from Germany. I'm sure the old plug could be replaced with a modern one to check its working condition.

Condition:

Has wear consitent with a 79 year old radio.

The Bakelite radio has some cosmetic damage to the bottom corner, some scratches and slight damage on the front panel (see photo).

Housing dimensions:.240 x 240 x 120 mm.

Weights about 2 kg.

As stated this radio is untested

A must for any Kraftwerk or WW2 German memorabilia collectors.
