Description
George Duning – Any Wednesday (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Vinyl LP) (1966)
Decent US stereo import in thick card sleeve.
The romantic comedy movie (1966, dir. Robert Ellis Miller) starred Jane Fonda, Dean Jones and Jason Robards.
Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
VINYL: VG. Fabulously clean on visual inspection. No obvious marks, scuffs or hairlines. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is decent throughout. Run-ins have some very mild surface noise. Light surface noise in places and during quieter cues/fadeouts, but nothing major. The bombastic jazz themes sound great. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. An enjoyable listen.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: G+. Colours remain unfaded and bright. Tiny nicks in some corners. Minor wear and faint disc showthrough outline on front and rear. Some mottling across top area of credits. Six areas where sellotape residue evident on spine and edges. Reverse shows one or two marks/ more mottling; otherwise good. Entirely intact.
INNER SLEEVE: G+. Original Warner paper picture sleeve with monochrome album thumbnails. Clean and intact. Minor creasing/folding and small aperture rips. Centre splits to spine and one side.

Review:
Any Wednesday was based on a Broadway hit and starred Jane Fonda as a ditzy, heartsick mistress to an industrial tycoon played by Jason Robards. The score — very much of a piece with Not With My Wife, You Don't! by John Williams — was composed by George Duning, an underrated composer with a gift for melody who was a contract composer at Columbia Pictures in the late 1950s (when Williams was the studio orchestra pianist).
A rare release for aficionados of George Duning, and a charming delight for fans of the Henry Mancini/Neal Hefti school of "swinging sixties" comedy.

ITEM CONDITION - items are graded according to Record Collector definitions - see below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
