Description
George Harrison, All Things Must Pass 3LP Box Set.
This was George's first solo album after the break up of the Beatles and features some beautiful songs.
Also included are rare studio recordings of conversations and 'jamming' on the third disc: "Apple Jam".
This is a fantastic copy of a fantastic record that would improve any collection.
The records are the original UK first pressing, identifiable by the 'MfD in UK' text printed on the labels and the matrix number 1U stamped on the run-out groove of all 6 sides of the discs.
All three original coloured inner sleeves are included.
The box is the early edition featuring the black and white photograph (replaced by a colour version for later pressings) of George.
The condition of the album is as follows:
Sleeve (Outer box): Very Good +
The original cardboard box is notorious for having spilt corners as it is a very tight fit.
Amazingly, all 8 corners (4 on the top and 4 on the bottom) are still in tact and in great condition.
The photograph often lifts or creases due to damp - but this cover is fully attached and without any creasing.
It is slightly discoloured due to use over the years which helps to add to the character of the album.
There are other subtle signs of storage ware but nothing too drastic; no rips, writing or folds.
Discs: Excellent
The first pressing discs are in fantastic condition.
They sound and look great.
All 3 discs play with excellent clarity, great channel separation and minimal background noise.
There are no pops, skips, or sticks.
This is because there are remarkably few surface marks! Only one or two can be picked up in the light on each side.
The labels are clean, with minimal spindle ware and no writing.
Inners: Very Good
The original multicoloured inner sleeves look great.
They are very thin and prone to seam splits and rips.
All three inner sleeves can still hold a record safely but have sadly succumb to one or two splits.
The poster is not included.
To protect the records and the sleeves I have kept the record within audiophile quality anti-static inner sleeves which are also provided in the sale.
Overall a fantastic copy of a great record. A superb addition to any collection.
