George Harrison, All Things Must Pass. This is the original UK Stereo issue of his Triple Box Set LP released in November 1970. The USA printed narrow spine box sleeve Is In EX Condition, the lyric inners Are In EX Condition, the poster is in EX Condition and the records are in EX Condition. Description
Original UK Apple label stereo 1st press box set.All Things Must Pass introduced Harrison's signature slide guitar sound and the spiritual themes present throughout his subsequent solo work. The original vinyl release consisted of two LP's of songs and a third disc of informal jams titled Apple Jam. Several commentators interpret Barry Feinstein's album cover photo, showing Harrison surrounded by four garden gnomes, as a statement on his independence from the Beatles.
This is the first press with the narrow spine US printed box, lyric inners and poster and all parts are in great condition! The USA narrow spine box sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light rubbing on the corners of the outer cover, but it has been very carefully laminated on the outer cover, which has protected the box. The spine is intact and fully readable. The matt USA printed poster is intact, with some pin holes and tape scars at the corners and in EX condition. The three lyric inners are intact, with some light creasing and are in EX condition. The records are in visually in EX condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs on sides 1 & 2, a couple of hairlines & one or two light needle scuffs on sides 3 & 4 and one or two faint hairlines on sides 5 & 6 visible on each record. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX+, clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves. Overall a clean, loud and clear listen which plays really well. The matrix nos. are;
YEX-817-1U stamper 2-RD, YEX-818-1U stamper 2-RO, YEX-819-1U stamper 2-RO, YEX-820-1U stamper 2-RM, YEX-821-1U stamper 2-L, YEX-822-1U stamper 2-L. This is one of the early pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
