Description

Up for sale is a truly miraculous, archive-grade specimen of George Harrison’s triple-album masterpiece, All Things Must Pass. This is a verified 1970 US initial first pressing manufactured at the legendary Capitol Records plant in Winchester, Virginia. The Provenance Story:This is a true one-owner copy with a beautiful history. It was gifted to me brand new by my father for Christmas in 1983. As a massive George Harrison and Beatles fan, I considered this specific box set sacred. It was stored away safely, completely untouched and unplayed for over 40 years. The records have never seen a turntable needle, and the massive original fold-out color poster was opened for the very first time only to take these listing photographs.Pressing Details & Technical Specs:Plant Variation: Pressed at the Capitol Winchester, VA plant (features the hand-etched "Rifle" symbol ─◁ in the dead wax matrix runout). The "Orange Apple" Error: Features the highly sought-after manufacturing ink variation on Disc 1, Side One, where the standard green apple baked into a distinct, brilliant orange/gold hue during the album's opening production week.Mastering: Mastered at Bell Sound Studios, NYC.Matrix Runouts: Hand-etched STCH-1-639 through STCH-6-639 with period-correct early lacquer sub-run numbers.Condition Grading:Vinyl (All 3 LPs): Mint (M) / Near Mint (NM). Pristine factory mirror luster. Absolutely zero spindle marks around the center holes, zero playback graying, and zero sleeve scuffs. There is a tiny amount of loose, harmless ambient storage dust from sitting safely inside the inner sleeves since the 1980s, which is left original to prove its untouched nature.Poster: Mint (M). Flawless. Sharp, crisp original factory folds. Absolutely no pinholes, tape residue, softening, or seam separation.Inner Lyric Sleeves: Near Mint (NM). Incredibly crisp edges and vibrant colors (lavender, grey, and mustard). No split seams or ring wear.Outer Box: Very Good (VG). Clean, structurally robust, and crisp graphics. Shows a small amount of standard, minor age-related outward bowing on the top lid, which is typical for these 50+ year-old cardboard boxes.Shipping & Handling:To ensure this piece of music history arrives in the exact condition shown, the vinyl records will be carefully packaged outside of the box and original paper inner sleeves during transit. This prevents the heavy records from shifting and causing seam splits to the vintage paper. Ships fully insured via USPS Media Mail in a heavy-duty, dedicated premium vinyl box mailer with ample bubble wrap padding.
