Description
1970 Apple Records original UK-issue first pressing triple LP, in box with poster and orange cardboard protective square, in original coloured lyric inner sleeves. Cat no APPLE STCH 639.
Stamped runout matrix numbers:
Side 1: YEX 817 - 1U Side 2: YEX 818 - 1U Side 3: YEX 819 - 1U Side 4: YEX 820 - 1U Side 5: YEX 821 - 1U Side 6: YEX 822 - 1U
Condition
Records
All records fully played through. All three records have a light, non-intrusive crackle between some tracks.
Side One: Light two-groove light click midway through track 1. Side Two: Slight crackle at the start of track 1, click between tracks 3 & 4. Side Three: Light crackle at the start of track 1. Side Four: Light 3/4-groove click midway through track 1, and a click at the end of the track. Track 3 has light crackle in places. Side Five: The vinyl is slightly marked, but the marking does not affect play. Plays well. Side Six: Plays well. I would grade all six sides between EX & EX(-)
Labels are clean, unmarked, and free of spindle marks.
Inners: All three have light creasing and handling wear, all three have a partial split to bottom seam. The first sleeve has 3 neat ticks next to tracks 2 & 3 on SideOne and track 2 on Side Two.The records are now housed in generic white paper inners.
Poster (with 'Printed In Great Britain STCH 639' to bottom right corner). Doesn't appear to have been used. EX
Card Protective Square (orange on one side, plain on the other). Excellent condition.
Box: Some discolouration to spine (see image), top left corner of 'lid' is split, slight discolouration to upper edge of front image, light mark to bottom right corner, some deterioration to the 'hinge' attaching lid to base.
Not a pristine copy, but still quite a decent one. Sent tracked/signed for in the uk, tracked/signed for airmail elsewhere.
