White label promo/demo release of George Harrison's 1975 LP: Extra Texture.
What's also of interest with this Promo is that around the dead wax (run out) On the B side there's a hand etched enscription that's reads:
"Oooh George, you're such a dark horse, Luv George"
I don't know if George Harrison wrote it himself or if there was another engineer called George but it's quite a coincidence!!

Looks and plays EX. Top audio with NO loud or continuous hiss/crackle. A couple of light surface marks, the very occasional and soft click, nothing bad at all. Right at the end of the last track on B side, one tiny mark causes about 6 clicks but it is right at the end as the song finishes the clicks start.

No sleeve. Will be supplied in die cut 12" sleeve.

I have done some further research on this record and it appears to be a test pressing rather than a promo.
I found details on a previous sale of this record with a better explanation to the enscription on the dead wax. Please read on, very interesting.
Rare White Label Test Pressing of George Harrison s Extra Texture (Read All About It ) 1975 with some provenanceMatrix Nos YEX 947-1U + YEX 948-1U. Close inspection of the run off dead wax area reveals Side 1 " A porky none prime cut "Much more interestingly Side 2 in dead wax there is a personal message "Ooh George you`re such a Dark Horse Luv George. This album was mastered by George Peckham the last one released on the Apple LabelThis message inscribed to George ( Harrison ) appears to be an in joke about his move away from Apple to his own label Dark Horse RecordsIts fair to say that this was meant to be read by George Harrison particularly as the masterer has signed off " Luv George" this being his first name as well.At some time George Harrison has given this copy to someone. I bought a collection from an Ex-music industry employee. There is no sleeve just white inner sleeve. This Album was mainly recorded in LA at A+M 21 April -9 June 1975It was his 5th Studio Album sometimes called his Soul AlbumReleased on 3 Oct 1975 reaching No 16 in GB + No 8 in USA ChartsNice George Harrison collectable that was on balance of probabilities his at the time of mastering in 1975There are a lot of in jokes on this Album which fits in nicely with George Peckhams comment on what was shortly to become Dark Horse Records.
