Description
Clean and tidy rare early pressing of George Harrison’s soundtrack music from the movie of the same name. This was the very first LP release on the Apple label, and the first solo release by any of the Beatles. The matrix numbers are SAPCOR 1A-1/SAPCOR 1B-2 (with a ‘G’ further round the dead wax on both sides). In addition there is also STAP 1 X with a line crossed through it which was going to be the original catalogue number.
Sleeve VG/VG+ Fully laminated. In presentable condition. Some age-yellowing and light creasing, and the front sleeve is slightly wavy towards the bottom.
Labels Ex+ Very clean. Moderate spindle traces.
Inner VG+ Track listing insert with the Apple logo on the reverse. In very good shape, light handling wear only. The original black inner sleeve is missing – the record is housed in a brand new polylined bag.
Record Visually VG/VG+, nice shine to the vinyl. There are some light hairlines and surface marks on both sides but nothing offensive or serious. The record plays very well with some random and short-lived ticks here and there, but nothing that would spoil the enjoyment of the music. I would grade the audio as VG/VG+.
