1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESS LP


This earliest possible pressing is a MINT MONO copy dating from initial release in November 1968 and is on the dark green Apple label: APCOR 1

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text but no purchase tax code is present on either.


It is housed within a fully laminated UK printed MONO sleeve.

Complete with its insert & die-cut, matt-black inner-sleeve.


Matrix numbers: APCOR 1A-1 & APCOR 1B-1

'AP 1A-1' & 'AP 1B-1' are crossed out in each respective run-out.

Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G

The above stamper codes confirm this copy as being amongst the first few hundred ever pressed.

A perfect unblemished pair with no wear to or around either centre hole.

Visual: MINT

Pristine 'factory-fresh' playing surfaces which are 100% 'as new' and unmarked both in strong daylight AND under cose examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this amazing copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

This copy appear to be unplayed and is in flawless audible condition throughout. You will not need or be able to upgrade this gem.

NEAR MINT

A worthy example to hold such a disc, this example looks like it left the shops yesterday, let alone 42 years ago. The high-gloss laminate is in perfect unscratched and unrubbed condition on both front AND rear panels with no creasing or 'thumbnails' anywhere. In fact, the only trace of wear is a small bruise to the upper left corner but both opening edges are totally unworn. Needless to say that both seams are smooth & unstressed and the fully worded spine is undamaged. You won't find another like this.
